EDMONTON — A man was taken to hospital on Friday morning after being shot in central Edmonton’s Boyle Street neighbourhood.

Police were called around 3:40 a.m. to 93 Street, near 103 A Avenue, where a man was found injured, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene and took him to hospital. He had surgery later Friday and was in serious but stable condition.

Police taped off a large area while they investigated the scene of the shooting.

The EPS does not believe it was random.
