Victoria police officer charged with forgery and fraud

A Victoria police officer has been charged for off-duty conduct.

Crown Counsel approved 13 fraud-related charges against Constable Leroy Anderson on Thursday.

Charges include six counts of forgery, six counts of possession of a forged document and one count of fraud.

Anderson was suspended in September 2014 with pay after information was brought forward about potential fraudulent off-duty activity, eventually launching a criminal investigation.

Anderson’s employment status is currently under review.
