PHOTOS: Car crashes into Starbucks in Surrey

VANCOUVER – Two people have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a Starbucks in Surrey.

The BC Ambulance Service says it happened at 12:44 p.m. at King George and 104th Avenue.

The driver, and only occupant, of the white sedan drove into the coffee shop, which resulted in significant damage. A male customer, who was sitting outside the shop, was struck and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.The driver was also taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. No one else was injured.

Surrey RCMP General Duty officers, with the assistance of Traffic Services, is investigating. Initial indications are that this incident may be related to driver error, however, the investigation is still continuing. The driver is cooperating with police.
