It may have just started as an innocent trip from the pool with her grandson, but police say 49-year-old Patricia Ebel seemed suspiciously inebriated when they arrived to the scene of a car crash.
Ebel had crashed her BMW into a car stopped at a red light, destroying the front of her vehicle in Naples, Florida, Friday evening.
Fortunately no one, including her 10-year-old grandson, sustained major injuries.
News cameras captured the bikini-clad woman failing sobriety tests. Collier County Police say she declined to take a breathalyser test and that her breath smelled strongly of alcohol.
WINK reports that Ebel told officers that she couldn’t stand on one leg even on a good day.
She has been charged with driving with a .15-or-greater blood alcohol content with a minor in the car and has been released on bail.
