Gas prices continue to rise around Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — If you’re planning to head out on a road trip or just need to fill up your gas tank, expect to shell out more money this weekend.

Gas prices have jumped nearly 10 cents and are expected to rise over the weekend.

Many stations around Winnipeg were sitting just shy of a dollar at 98.9 cents per litre on Friday morning.

There are still a few locations in the city where you can fill up for around 90 cents, according to gasbuddy.com.

Some stations are already over a dollar per litre and a couple are still under 88 cents per litre, the popular gas-price site reports.

Gas prices have been on the rise since hitting lows last fall.
