Man guilty of attempted murder in sawed-off shotgun incident

REGINA – A 21-year-old man has been found guilty of attempted murder following an incident involving a sawed-off shot gun in April 2014.

Court heard Kenyon Kay got out of a vehicle, fired a shotgun at another man on the street at the corner of 4th Avenue near Athol Street and then ran away.

Regina Police said a 19-year-old man sustained serious injuries.

A Court of Queen’s Bench judge found Kay guilty of attempted murder and possessing a sawed-off shotgun while prohibited.

Kay is scheduled to be sentenced on Jun. 2.
