Alcohol believed to factor in deadly crash near Lac La Biche

EDMONTON — A 19-year-old man died and two 18-year-olds were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed near Lac La Biche, in northeastern Alberta.

Two of the men were thrown from the vehicle when it rolled on Mission Road near Lac La Biche Tuesday evening. Police were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m.

The 19-year-old was taken by air ambulance to an Edmonton-area hospital in critical condition. He died the next day.

The two 18-year-old men were driven to an Edmonton-area hospital. They were in stable condition.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the collision. An RCMP collision analyst is helping with the investigation.
