Huey Lewis and the News coming to Saskatoon for Cameco Cares concert series. Handout

SASKATOON – The heart of rock and roll will be beating along the South Saskatchewan this July. Cameco and CRUZ FM announced Huey Lewis and the News are this year’s act for the Cameco Cares concert series on July 21 at the Bessborough Gardens.

Lewis is known for a number of chart-topping hits including The Power of Love, Stuck with You and Hip to Be Square.

This is the second year of Cameco’s concert series to raise money for different hospital foundations. All ticket proceeds from this year’s show go to support the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation.

“The hospital foundations are one area that touches everyone not only in the city but in the surrounding communities,” said Cameco CEO Tim Gitzel.

“We want to make a difference in the community but we don’t just do that by writing cheques. We like to roll up our sleeves, get our employees involved and show how we want to make a difference.
