Saskatoon Breakfast Buzz – April 15

Saskatoon is primarily a car city, but with the population of the city expected to double in the next 40 years, some are concerned with the current car culture.

Advocates for taking public transit launched “10 Days for Transit” on Tuesday, asking people to take transit over the next 10 days and share their experiences on social media.

Right now less than 5 per cent of Saskatoon’s population are transit users. The coalition behind “10 Days for Transit” believes that if more people take buses it will lessen traffic congestion in the city.
