SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Police in New Brunswick say a body pulled from the harbour in Saint John is that of a woman.
Sgt. Lori Magee of the Saint John police says they have not identified the woman, but are going through missing person reports.
An autopsy was planned at the Saint John Regional Hospital to determine the cause of death and the woman’s identity.
The woman was discovered after people on a fishing boat reported seeing it floating on the water.
Magee says they received a call around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday about the discovery, but they don’t know how long the body was in the water.
