Child porn charges laid after suspicious package found in Calgary

CALGARY – A Lethbridge man is facing child pornography charges after the discovery of a suspicious parcel in Calgary two months ago.

The package was discovered by the Canada Border Services Agency on February 19^th. Officials say it contained “suspicious contents” which prompted a month-long investigation.

Police arrested 31-year-old Daniel McNeill on March 27^th.

He’s charged with possession of child pornography, mailing obscene matter and smuggling prohibited goods.

McNeill is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on April 24th, 2015.
