HALIFAX – Police are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit and run on Monday night in Bedford.
The incident happened on the Bedford Highway near Division Street around 6:30 p.m. when an unknown vehicle hit a female cyclist from behind.
Sgt. Christina Martin said the cyclist was thrown from her bike, but wasn’t seriously injured. She was transported to hospital and released a short time later.
Though there were several people nearby who helped the cyclist, no one witnessed the accident.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers.
