YORKTON, Sask. – A Saskatchewan man has been found guilty of one charge under the Animal Protection Act. Murray Andres was convicted in Yorkton provincial court of putting an animal in distress.
He was found not guilty of the criminal charges of wilful neglect of animals and obstructing a police officer.
The charges stem from a search warrant executed in 2011 on a property near MacNutt where 32 dogs were seized.
Andres is to be sentenced next Friday in Yorkton.
MacNutt is about 370 km southeast of Saskatoon.
