Toddler drowns in Saskatchewan resort community

SARNIA BEACH, Sask. – There has been a tragic death at a Saskatchewan community. Mounties were called to a residence in the resort community of Sarnia Beach around 11 a.m. Thursday.

A family found a toddler in a stream near their residence. The stream runs into Last Mountain Lake.

The toddler was unresponsive and was airlifted by STARS to a Regina hospital but couldn’t be revived. The child’s name has not been released.

Craik RCMP said the death is not suspicious. No further details are being released at this time.
