WINNIPEG – A man was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a St. Vital home on Thursday night.
Fire crews rushed to 77 Burland Ave. near St. Mary’s Road at around 8 p.m.

The people inside the home escaped the blaze, but one man was sent to hospital as a precaution, fire officials said.
There was no information available Friday morning about what caused the fire or where it started. Firefighters gained control of the flames in the attic.
