It’s shaping up to be another 2003 summer

With record low snowpacks and an early spring, the District of West Kelowna in conjunction with the Westbank First Nations are getting an early start on the forest fire season with fuel mitigation work in the area of Rose Valley and Bear Creek. As Kelly Hayes reports, the experts say they want to get a head start because it’s shaping up to a hot-dry summer similar to 2003.
