Do you remember the moment your baby’s gender was revealed? It’s a once in a lifetime experience that can have parents on edge, needing to know what colour to paint the nursery or what clothes to purchase. And sometimes, no matter how convinced you are, the gender can be a complete surprise (like in this author’s happy experience).
Apex native Cher Lair has been through the experience six times. And every single time she and her husband learned they were having a boy. That’s six boys if you weren’t counting.
“We’re a boy house for sure,” Lair told WTVD. “I want to have that mommy-daughter thing, to take her to Cinderella, for pedicures and manicures, and shop for a prom dress. I’ve wanted that.”
Her wish was finally granted on Monday as she cut through a delicious slice of cake with her seventh baby’s gender hidden inside and the moment was captured in a viral YouTube video.

Cher was sent reeling backward and fell to the floor as she screamed at the top of her lungs after spotting the pink filling.
At the time of this writing, her reaction has been shared and enjoyed more than 400,000 times.
Now there’s only one thing left for the Lair’s to do – prepare the boys for their new sister.
“I ran out the door,” 5-year-old Houston told ABC. “I’m sick of girls.”
Cher, luckily, has some time to soften Houston up. A doctor told the Lair family to expect their next bundle of joy in August, according to an ABC report.
