MONTREAL – The Sheraton Montreal hotel near the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport may be closed – starting at any time – due to a strike.
Travellers expecting to stay at the hotel are being asked to call before arriving.
Unionized workers voted to walk out on their jobs to back contract demands after negotiations with management.
In a statement Tuesday morning, union executives said the hotel’s management wanted to change workers’ contracts to include higher insurance premiums and six less days of leaves a year.
About 120 people work at the hotel.
