“I feel so supported right now,” says Dueling.

“We need to be child-friendly in our community and not harassing moms who are doing the best for their babies,” says one of the organizers, Nancy Smith.

The event was organized to raise awareness on a mother’s right to breastfeed in public.

A few dads also joined the rally to show their support.

“It’s our kid, too, and I’m not ashamed of her to breastfeed in public to take care of this little one,” says Todd Semeniuk.

Dueling says she’s overwhelmed by the support.

She’s taking the opportunity to educate others, adding no mother should feel humiliated or restricted.

“I shouldn’t have to feel like I have to do it in a bathroom,” she says. “I’m giving my son life, that’s simply all I’m doing.”
