WINNIPEG — 680 CJOB is presenting rock band legend AC/DC.

It’s happening on Sept. 17 at Investors Group Field.

The last time the Aussie rockers visited the city was Aug. 22, 2009, when they played CanAd Inns Stadium.

Meantime, True North Sports and Entertainment’s Kevin Donnelly tells us it comes in handy that the Grey Cup is in Winnipeg this year. They now have extra seats they can put in for the concert.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“We’re adding the south end Grey Cup seats to the south end bleachers. The north end seats would be, of course, behind the stage. So, one of the cards we had to play to land this tour was this extra capacity, so, we’re adding those Grey Cup seats earlier. Wade’s made arrangements with the supplier to have those seats added, so they’re going on sale with the regular inventory next Friday,” Donnelly tells 680 CJOB.
