SASKATOON – Parts of Saskatchewan are under a wind warning. Environment Canada says strong winds that may cause damage are occurring or expected to occur in parts of west-central Saskatchewan Wednesday afternoon.

The agency says damaging gusts of up to 90 km/h are possible later into the day or early evening hours as a cold front pushes through the region. Showers changing to flurries will accompany the passage of the front.

Environment Canada says flurries may be intense at times, resulting in reduced visibility due to strong winds and heavy snow.

For the latest road conditions, check the Saskatchewan Highway Hotline.

A swath of northern Saskatchewan remains under a snowfall warning, with 10 to 15 centimetres of snow expected Wednesday.
