Langley RCMP say charges could be laid after a man was injured in an apparent hit-and-run last night.
It happened around 10 p.m. near the intersection of 40th Avenue and 201 Street.
Cpl. Holly Marks with Langley RCMP says a 63-year-old man was walking across the street when he was struck by a westbound Dodge pickup.
He was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries and is now in stable condition.
Marks says a witness saw the truck and followed it for a short time.
The witness was able to pinpoint the residence where the truck stopped, just three blocks away.
Police then managed to locate and speak with the driver.
He was released pending charges last night and will appear in court later this year.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.
