MONTREAL – Drivers can expect more traffic headaches after the long weekend.
- Transport Quebec will be closing the ramp from Highway 20 eastbound to Decarie north.
- Two ramps to the 15 will be closed next week for maintenance work on the Turcot.
- Access ramps to Highway 15 south from the Ville Marie Expressway will be closed.
The alternative route will be to take the Ville Marie eastbound to the Guy Street exit then turn around and get back on the Ville Marie westbound.
On Tuesday, the ramp from westbound Highway 720 to Highway 15 south will be closed.
Instead drivers have to continue on the 20 westbound and exit at Notre-Dame / Angrignon and turn around to return on Highway 20 eastbound.
The Work will be finished in July.
A recent survey by Dutch navigation company TomTom found that in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, “the average commuter loses 84 hours a year being delayed in traffic while the average time lost to traffic across the country is almost 79 hours.”
