A 25-year-old San Diego-area woman is facing charges after a California Highway Patrol officer had to break into her car to wake her up while her car was stopped in the middle of a busy highway.

The video – provided to the local ABC News affiliate – shows the car parked in the middle lane of the highway, clearly passed out in the driver’s seat.
The officer tries to rouse her with his flashlight with no success. He later smashes the driver’s window when the car starts to roll.
The woman is later led away in handcuffs and a bottle of alcohol is clearly visible on the car’s floor.
