The Vancouver Giants have announced Wednesday they are in the market for a new head coach.
The club has parted ways with Claude Noel, who was only hired last November.
In a release published on the team’s site this morning, Giants majority owner Ron Toigo said, “[Noel] would like to pursue pro opportunities, and we need to move forward. We really appreciate him stepping into this role mid-season. We’re ending our time together on really good terms, and we wish him all the best in the future.”
Prior to hiring Noel in November, the Giants were last in the WHL’s Western Conference with a 10-18-0 record, winning just three of their past 12 games.

Noel replaced Troy Ward as the head coach. The Giants say the search for a new head coach will commence immediately.
