KELOWNA — The doors remain closed at all facilities belonging to Valoroso Foods of Kelowna.
As a result of a Global Okanagan News investigative report, Valoroso announced last week it would shut down Sunday for inventory control. Valoroso’s regular store hours are Monday to Saturday.
In a news release issued Monday, the company announced its doors remain closed.
“We would like to reassure our customers that we are taking immediate and strict measures to guarantee all of our products,” the release says.
“When we learned of the concern of the freshness of our products, we immediately closed all open orders with wholesale customers and stopped shipments. For the past two days, we have been implementing new inventory tracking software.”
The release goes on to say Valoroso should reopen Tuesday.
Valoroso has two retail stores in Kelowna and West Kelowna.
It also owns two warehouses: One in Vancouver, the other on Richter Street in Kelowna
