WATCH ABOVE: Video of the synagogue attack was caught on camera
TORONTO – British police arrested six people after they tried to storm their way into a synagogue in north London early Sunday morning.
Video of the incident was posted to YouTube showing a group of about 20 youths trying to force their way into a synagogue in Stamford Hill.
According to Reuters, one worshipper suffered minor injuries when he tried to prevent the group from entering the building.
“The incident is being treated as an anti-Semitic incident, due to remarks made by one of the group,” London’s Metropolitan police said in a statement. “At this early stage, there is no suggestion that this was a far-right or extremist attack but rather the completely unacceptable actions of a drunken group.”
Police believe the group had walked to the area from a house party nearby, Reuters reported.
Four men and two were women were arrested.
