Ontario family among those killed in I-95 crash in South Carolina

FLORENCE, S.C. – Authorities say two Pennsylvania residents and a family of three from Ontario Canada, including a 7-month-old child, were killed in a fiery weekend crash on Interstate 95 in South Carolina.

Area media outlets report the accident happened Saturday night on the northbound lanes of the heavily travelled interstate in Florence Country. The accident, which is still under investigation, involved five vehicles including two tractor trailer trucks.

Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identifies the victims as 51-year-old Jacqueline McCann and 52-year-old and Barry Himes, both of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

The other victims were 34-year-old Jeremiah Cross, 32-year-old Crystal Cross and 7-month-old Grayson Cross, all from Ontario.

Two of the cars in the crash caught fire. Traffic on the northbound lanes of the interstate was blocked for about 12 hours.
