CF-18s bomb ISIS targets as Canadian military mum on probes into friendly fire death

OTTAWA – The military says Canadian warplanes bombed two more State targets in northern Iraq over the last 24 hours.

The joint operations command says CF-18s hit a roadside bomb-making factory near Kirkuk on Thursday and were back in the air on Friday dropping laser-guided munitions on fighting positions and construction equipment east of Mosul.

Navy Capt. Paul Forget would not say whether special forces troops have helped guide any further air strikes, beyond the three the military described in January.

He now says revealing that information could indicate where the troops are operating and should be kept secret.
