TORONTO — Tessanne Chin, winner of season 5 of The Voice, has reportedly split from her husband after less than four years of marriage.
The Jamaica Gleaner claims Chin’s husband Michael Anthony Cuffe Jr. has moved out of the couple’s home.
There has been no comment from Chin or Cuffe.
Cuffe, a Jamaican radio personality, married Chin in Ocho Rios after a year-long engagement.
After winning The Voice in 2013, Chin told Access Hollywood she received some life advice from Canadian superstar Celine Dion.
“She said to wait five years to have kids, and I think I’m gonna take her up on that,” Chin said.
Chin, 29, was an established singer with an independently-released album in her native Jamaica before winning The Voice. Her major label debut, Count on My Love, was released last July.
Last March, she was honoured in Toronto at the University of West Indies benefit gala.
