MONTREAL — Montreal police are investigating after two men were attacked, possibly by an axe, inside a rooming house in the Ville-Marie borough.
The incident took place on Sainte Catherine Street, near Beaudry Street at around 10:45 Wednesday night.
According to police, during an altercation between three individuals, one of the men grabbed a sharp object and attacked the two others.
It’s believed the weapon used was an axe.
The two victims, aged 58 and 61, were transferred to hospital with serious injuries to their upper bodies. Their wounds are not considered life-threatening.
A 60-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack.
