WINNIPEG — Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger says he will meet soon with five former cabinet ministers who tried to oust him.
Selinger says everyone in the NDP caucus is looking for a way to come together, and he and his former opponents are approaching each other with a positive attitude.

Former health minister Theresa Oswald and four other senior ministers called on Selinger to consider resigning last October due to low poll numbers, and Oswald ran unsuccessfully against Selinger in a party leadership contest that ended March 8.
Oswald and the other four rebels have had some of their caucus privileges restricted, but Selinger says a NDP committee has now been set up to find a way to reunite the caucus.
Selinger says he is open to having the rebels run for re-election as New Democrats, but that is one of the issues being discussed as part of the reconciliation process.
Candidates for next year’s election must be approved by the NDP provincial executive — a group that includes Selinger and many of his supporters during the leadership crisis.
