WINNIPEG – Police have arrested a 20-year-old Winnipegger in connection with a stabbing death almost three years ago.
Police made the arrest after they were called to another location and the young man made references to the 2012 homicide of Daniel William Hall, 26.
Hall was found lying on a road at about 2:30 a.m. on April 24, 2012, after police were called about a stabbing in the Notre Dame Avenue and Balmoral Street area. Hall was taken to hospital, where he died on April 27, 2012.
Police were called to another location on Tuesday this week, where they encountered the 20-year-old. The young man gave them information about the Hall case and police turned him over to the homicide unit.
The 20-year-old faces charges of second-degree murder and failing to comply with the condition of a recognizance. His name isn’t being released because he was a minor when Hall was killed.
