SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. – A man and a woman are facing multiple charges after RCMP say the pair tried to drive into Canada with drugs and what they suspect are stolen documents.
RCMP say the two were stopped by border officials at the Sault Ste. Marie crossing last week. Details are only being released today.
Police say a search of their car turned up oxycodone tablets, drug paraphernalia and suspected stolen identification documents.
They say the accused also gave false names to border officials.
Kimberly Jo Rose Bowser, 25, of no fixed address, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of an identity document, obstructing a police officer, possession of stolen property and personation.
Todd Donald Deschamps, 23, also of no fixed address, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of an identity document and obstructing a police officer.
