Violent robbery in Calgary’s northeast

CALGARY – Police continue to search for a suspect in connection with a violent robbery in the northeast Sunday afternoon.

Officers were called to the five-thousand block of fourth street just before 4:30 p.m.

They say it appears a woman was in her car when a man approached her, smashed out a window, and stole some of her property.

A struggle then ensued and police say it may have involved a knife.

The women suffered only minor injuries while the man fled in an older, silver-model car driven by another person.

Police say they are looking for a white man in his twenties with a slim build.

They say he was dressed in black and wearing a mask at the time.
