Okanagan forecast: a bit of everything this weekend

A weather system pushing inland will bring the potential for clouds and showers on Saturday. Nothing significant is expected in the valley, and we will likely see some sun in between the showers.

The Shuswap will see the biggest potential for widespread precipitation, with the Okanagan Valley just seeing the possibility of isolated precipitation.

The best timing on Saturday for partial clearing will be later in the day behind the cold front. Sun is possible late in the day.

The latest weather models predict that Sunday’s precipitation will move up from the South, with most of the showers staying in the South and Central regions. For the North Okanagan, Shuswap and Columbia regions, the precipitation for the second half of the weekend will be more isolated in nature.

There is some uncertainty still about what will happen after the weekend, but the trend is for a drier weather pattern after Monday.

This weekends’s daytime high range: 9 to 16C
