TORONTO – Police believe there may be more victims after a former Toronto crossing guard was charged this week of sexual assault.
Police allege a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in January of 2008 by a crossing guard near the intersection of Midland Ave. and Huntingwood Dr. in east-end Toronto.
Biagio Valerio, 78, was arrested Tuesday, March 10 and is scheduled to appear in court April 21.
Police say a sexual assault is any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
