When a package of drugs fell out of a four-year-old boy’s hat, educators at the Pre-K Head Start program at West Street School in Geneva, New York contacted police.
The package contained 12 grams of cocaine, but that was just a drop in the bucket of what police would find in the child’s home where he lives with his parents and two-year-old sister.
After taking the four-year-old home and speaking to his father, 25-year-old Willie Smallwood, police investigated further and issued a search warrant.
Police seized more cocaine, four pounds of marijuana, 12 long guns, two automatic rifles, five handguns, a stun gun and $10,000 cash.

Smallwood was arrested and charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. Felony drug charges are pending.
The man was released was on $15,000 bail but police warned him to stay away from his children, who are in protective custody.
Geneva Police Chief Jeffrey Trickler says they are relieved school staff found the drugs, which led to the bust.
“The last thing that anyone wants to see is a child, especially that young in age, to be in possession of a dangerous narcotic,” Trickler told TWC. “We’re lucky that the staff found it and immediately contacted us before it got in anyone else’s hands.”
