TORONTO – An infant died Monday afternoon after being rushed to hospital from a Burlington daycare.
The 14-month-old boy was taken from the Wee Care Daycare near Plains Road West and Waterdown Road in Burlington to Joseph Brant Hospital, where he later died.
Police responded to the day care after shortly after noon when someone called to report a baby who had stopped breathing, according to multiple media reports.
Police are investigating but initial reports suggested the death was due to a medical issue. No foul play is suspected.
The coroner is investigating.
