Beautiful sunrise follows moonlit skies as Winnipeg warms up

WINNIPEG – Early risers saw a beautiful moonlit sky while others witnessed a lovely hazy sunrise as Manitobans woke to a welcome respite from cold Monday.

The forecast is for the temperature to reach at least 0 C every day this week.

The arrival of warmer weather also coincides with the closure of the river skating trails in Winnipeg. The Red River Mutual Trail closed Monday after 9.5 weeks and an estimated 285,000 visitors, The Forks said.
