WATCH: Tom Hanks stars in Carly Rae Jepsen’s new video

TORONTO — It’s been called “ridiculously, absurdly, unbelievably catchy” and “really fun” — and now the new single from Carly Rae Jepsen has a video to go with it.

The B.C. native’s clip for “I Really Like You” topped 4 million views in its first three days online.

The video stars Oscar winner Tom Hanks — a close friend of Jepsen’s manager Scooter Braun — and was shot in New York City.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Jepsen, 29, doesn’t appear in the video until the 2:29 mark.

Another Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber, shows up at around the three-minute mark.

It’s not the first time Hanks has showed off his moves with Jepsen and Bieber. He entertained guests at the Whistler, B.C. wedding of Braun and Yael Cohen last July.

Time will tell if “I Really Like You” is anywhere close to being as successful as Jepsen’s 2011 hit “Call Me Maybe,” which went on to become one of the top-selling singles of all time and earned two Grammy nominations. The video for the song has been viewed a staggering 651 million times.
