UPDATE: Blown transformer causes power outage

According to SaskPower, an electrical outage was noticed around 11:30 a.m. on the south side of Regina.

Neighbourhoods affected include Hillsdale, Lakeview, Parliament Place and Albert Park.

The company’s Twitter account says the cause of the outage is a blown transformer.

Crews are currently trying to fix the problem and hope to have the power restored around 3 p.m. this afternoon.
