VERNON – Usually you turn to the Interior Health Authority (IHA) when you are sick, but now the health authority is trying to step in early with a dose of prevention. IHA is working to get the message out that healthy eating doesn’t need to go by the wayside at work; there are things companies and staff can do to improve on the job eating habits.
Boyd suggests employees can eat better by preparing healthy foods ahead of time to bring to work. Meanwhile, IHA recommends employers provide staff with a place to eat and even consider making changes to the way the company celebrates.
