EDMONTON — Two days after being released from the Grande Cache Institution, a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of a high-risk sexual offender.
Ashton Natomagan was released from the western Alberta prison on Monday, after serving just over five years for sexual assault causing bodily harm. On Tuesday, he failed to return to his halfway house, which is a violation of his parole.
Police say the 33-year-old is considered dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees Natomagan is asked to immediately contact police.
Earlier Wednesday, police issued a warning about Natomagan’s release. Officers said he was to be living in the Edmonton area.
