An aquarium worker in Arizona gets big props for upping his proposal game – by taking it underwater.
Arizona Central reports that the man, Evan, is a fish keeper at the Sea Life Aquarium in Tempe, Arizona.
Evan spent weeks plotting out the elaborate proposal with the help of his fellow aquarium employees (who of course gathered around to see his plan unfold).
Then on Tuesday, Evan’s beau Jessica stopped by the aquarium and got quite a surprise.
It was Evan, floating in the shark tank in full scuba gear. And while he didn’t get down on one knee, he did manage to pop the question by holding up an unfolding sign.
“Of all the fish in the sea, you are the only one for me. Jessica, will you marry me?”
And luckily for the gathered aquarium employees, she said yes.
According to the original report, the couple is originally from Wisconsin, with Evan moving to Arizona in order to pursue work.
Jessica now plans to join him in the summer – and presumably, start scoping out potential wedding venues.
