WINNIPEG — Half way mark!

Two days of the same breakfast and dinner, switching it up a little at lunch, between a banana and an apple, and toast with peanut butter.

The same food every day, and starting to feel a little bit sluggish.  I am missing fresh vegetables and would love some meat, a chicken breast, salmon, something with a little more protein.

Missing coffee at breakfast, but free coffee from others and at work is a life saver!

Been able to have a cup once a day.  Didn’t realize that I relied so much on having my morning cup of joe.

Not looking forward to dinner, which will once again be the same bean soup.  Don’t get me wrong, It’s filling and tasty but getting a little boring.

The Winnipeg Harvest Poverty Pledge is a commitment to live for five days on the same food budget as a single person living on social assistance, roughly $3.96 a day. Holly Alexandruk began the Pledge on Monday.
