There were more than twenty acts at Oscar Peterson Hall, ranging from beatboxing and break dancing to artistic dance and “Glee Club” inspired performances.
The event came as Black History Month draws to a close.
The main message was the importance of unity and encouraging one another, within the black community.
The grand prize winners, a duo named “PDG” stole the show with a creative mash-up of dance and drama that mimicked a video game.
Global Montreal Anchor Camille Ross was a judge for the event, and says she’ll be back next year.
“There is so much hidden talent in Montreal, and the good people at Jeunesse-Emploi have done an amazing job of offering our youth a platform to showcase their skills and gain experience.”
