REGINA – Two people have been taken to hospital with smoke inhalation following an early-morning apartment fire on Angus Street.
Fire crews were called to a building at 1454 Angus just after 5:00 a.m. Saturday where flames were shooting out the basement windows.
One person, in the suite where the fire is believed to have started, suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital. A second person from an upstairs suite was also taken to hospital.
At least 15 people from 12 apartment units have been displaced due to smoke damage throughout the building.
No word yet on a cause or damage estimate.
