OTTAWA – Loblaw is recalling a brand of cereal because of possible plastic contamination.
The affected product, PC Blue Menu brand Bran Flakes Cereal, is sold in 775 gram packages with best before dates of Aug. 26 up to and including Jan.7, 2017.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the recalled cereal has been sold nationally and should be thrown out or returned to the store where purchased.
The CFIA says the recall was triggered by the company and the grocer is voluntarily recalling the cereal from the marketplace.
There have been no reported injuries tied to eating this cereal.
