SASKATOON – Cofely Services Inc. announced Tuesday that it will be providing facilities management services for Saskatoon’s civic operations centre. Once constructed, the centre will serve as the city’s new transit maintenance facility.
Throughout the 25-year contract, the firm will provide maintenance, refurbishment and renewal services to maintain prescribed performance specifications.
Construction of the centre on Valley Road is expected to completed by late 2016. It will also be home to the city’s first snow management facility, with enough space to store up to one-million cubic metres of snow.

The $160-million public-private partnership (P3) contract was awarded by city council last month to Integrated Team Solutions (ITS).
This marks Saskatoon’s first P3 and according to the city’s calculations, should save taxpayers the equivalent of $92.3-million.
“We are excited about the opportunity to strengthen our position in P3 projects in Canada,” said Cofely President and CEO François Dépelteau.
ITS is a consortium of companies which will design build and finance the project while Cofely will be the facilities management lead.
Originally founded 23 years ago in Montreal, Cofely Services now has offices in eastern Canada and the United States which serve contracts in the commercial and public buildings sector, airports, data centres and manufacturing industries.
